Web design

Outdoor focused website development for fishing, marine and boat builder brands

I'm Jack Shirk, and Flood Tide Digital is my web studio in Hillsborough, NC. I do outdoor web design and nothing else: custom websites for fishing lodges, guides and charters, boat builders, marine businesses and outdoor brands.

Builds start at $4,000 and most take about 4 to 6 weeks from kickoff to launch.

Strategy and design

Strategy, then a homepage you can judge

I learn which trips, boats or products matter most and who actually buys them, then plan every page before design gets far. You see your homepage at full fidelity before anything else gets built.

Photography and mobile

Real photography, built for the phone

Your actual water, boats and fish sit front and center. Your buyer can tell stock photos instantly, and they are usually checking you out in a parking lot at the boat ramp, not at a desk.

Paths that convert

Booking, quote and lead paths that match how you sell

Trip requests, build quotes, dealer inquiries and online stores are built around how you sell. Clean code, quick load times and page structure that search engines and AI assistants can read are part of the build.

Launch and care

A clean launch, with a Care Plan from day one

Production build, QA, redirects from your old site and analytics. Hosting, monitoring, updates and a direct line to me start the day you go live. Inquiry and follow-up automation is an optional $1,500 add-on on any tier.

Process

How a build works

Most builds take about 4 to 6 weeks. You'll know the price before we start, and you'll always know what's next.

01Week 1

Strategy

A kickoff call and access to what you have now: photos, specs, rates and your current site. You get a clear plan for every page.

02Weeks 1 to 3

Design

I design your homepage first. Once we lock the direction together, every other page follows it, so there are no surprises late in the project.

03Weeks 3 to 6

Build and launch

Full production build, QA, redirects, analytics and go-live. Your Care Plan picks up from day one.

Questions, answered

Common questions

How much does a website for a fishing lodge, guide or boat builder cost?

Builds start at $4,000 for up to 12 pages, and most builds land there. Up to 18 pages is $6,000, up to 25 pages is $8,000 and up, and extra pages are $250 each. Every site also runs on a Care Plan at $149 or $300 a month.

How long does it take to build an outdoor website?

Most builds take about 4 to 6 weeks from kickoff to launch. You see your homepage in the first few weeks, before the rest of the site gets built.

Why hire an outdoor industry web design agency instead of a general web designer?

Because I already know how your buyer decides. I fish, hunt and restore boats, and I build only for fishing, boating, marine and outdoor businesses, so every page answers the questions your customers ask before they book or buy.

Will my new site be fast and easy to find?

Yes. Every site is built fast, mobile first and structured so search engines and AI assistants can read it. That's part of the build, not an extra.

What happens after my website launches?

Your Care Plan starts on day one. I handle hosting, updates and monitoring, and you get a direct line to me for changes. I don't build websites and disappear.
